Role Summary
Our client is seeking a Seasonal Operations Assistant to join their team during the holiday season. The Seasonal Operations Assistant assists the Operations Managers with administrative duties and customer service support. The Operations Assistant interacts with drivers and customers to resolve package discrepancies to ensure on-time delivery, and they are also responsible for accurate data entry and verifying deliveries.
Key Results Area
Track package deliveries, process and document problem packages, research issues when needed, and update the tracking system for customers, the customer service team, and other facilities
Assist drivers in the checkout process by verifying that all packages are out for delivery
Report missing or not out for delivery packages; prepare packages to go out for delivery if needed
Communicate with customers regarding their package status as needed
Research, analyze, and report on daily compliances to management and prepare business reports as needed
Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or GED is preferred
One year of related industry experience or training in transportation and delivery or an equivalent combination of both education and specific work experience is required
General knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
Excellent customer service skills
Able to multi-task, self-manage, and work efficiently in stressful situations
