Contract Length: 13-Week Contract
Shift: 8-Hour Evening Shift | Monday – Friday | 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Travel Instrument Technician to join a Sterile Processing Department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for decontaminating, inspecting, assembling, sterilizing, and distributing surgical instruments while maintaining the highest standards of infection prevention and patient safety.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for decontaminating, inspecting, assembling, sterilizing, and distributing surgical instruments while maintaining the highest standards of infection prevention and patient safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Decontaminate, clean, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments
- Operate sterilization equipment and monitor sterilization cycles
- Inspect instruments for cleanliness, function, and damage
- Prepare surgical instrument trays according to procedure requirements
- Maintain inventory of sterile supplies and instruments
- Follow infection prevention and sterile processing standards
- Document sterilization records accurately
- Collaborate with operating room staff to ensure instrument availability
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Comply with facility safety and quality standards
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent Sterile Processing/Instrument Technician experience
- Experience reprocessing surgical instruments
- Knowledge of sterilization techniques and infection prevention practices
- Previous travel experience is a bonus
- HSPA (Healthcare Sterile Processing Association) certification
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
