Our Client is seeking a talented Structural Engineer to join its team. The ideal candidate will have a civil engineering degree from an accredited university, with an emphasis in structural design and analysis preferred. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of residential and light commercial projects while collaborating directly with architects, builders, and clients.
The engineer will provide structural design and consulting services for new construction and remodeling projects involving wood, steel, concrete, and masonry. The position includes regular short-distance site visits throughout the Atlanta area, with long-distance travel being very rare.

Job Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $75000.00–$180000.00/yr
Key Responsibilities
- Provide structural engineering design and consulting services for a variety of construction and remodeling projects.
- Perform structural analysis and design for single-family, multifamily, and light commercial projects.
- Develop structural solutions using primarily wood, steel, concrete, and masonry.
- Prepare and review structural drawings, calculations, specifications, and related technical documentation.
- Collaborate directly with architects, builders, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
- Review project requirements and develop practical, cost-effective structural solutions.
- Conduct site visits throughout the Atlanta area to assess existing conditions and support project development.
- Communicate project requirements, technical recommendations, and design considerations effectively with clients.
- Support projects from initial design through completion.
- Apply sound engineering judgment to identify and resolve structural design challenges.
- Ensure designs and engineering work meet applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.
- Work collaboratively with the engineering team to deliver high-quality projects on schedule
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
- Minimum of 1 year of structural design experience is preferred but not required.
- Strong understanding of structural engineering principles and design concepts.
- Ability to perform structural analysis and design for building projects.
- Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, architects, builders, and internal team members.
- Dependable transportation for work-related site visits.
- Ability to work onsite and travel locally to project sites in the Atlanta area.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate engineering work.
