Role: Quality Control Technician – Food Manufacturing

Our Client is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Quality Control Technician to support quality assurance and food safety operations within a food manufacturing environment. The Quality Control Technician will conduct inspections, monitor production processes, maintain quality documentation, support food safety programs, and help ensure products consistently meet established quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
The successful candidate will have experience with quality control, food safety, GMP compliance, inspections, documentation, and manufacturing processes. This position requires strong attention to detail, accurate record keeping, effective communication, and the ability to work closely with production teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Compensation: $35,360 – $41,600 per year
Shift Options:
1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
This position is focused on quality inspections, food safety, GMP compliance, sampling and testing, equipment calibration, quality documentation, non-conformance investigations, CAPA support, audit preparation, production support, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Control & Food Safety
· Conduct and document quality control inspections throughout the production process.
· Perform GMP inspections and monitor compliance with established food safety requirements.
· Collect product and environmental samples for testing and analysis.
· Perform equipment calibration and maintain accurate calibration records.
· Monitor production activities to ensure compliance with established quality and food safety standards.
· Verify that products and production processes meet specified quality and food safety requirements.
· Identify potential quality or food safety concerns and communicate findings to appropriate personnel.
· Maintain a strong focus on product safety, quality, sanitation, and compliance.
Quality Investigation & Compliance
· Identify, investigate, and document quality non-conformities, deviations, and process issues.
· Assist with Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) activities.
· Review quality control records and documentation for accuracy and completeness.
· Maintain organized and accurate inspection, testing, sampling, and quality records.
· Support preparation for internal and external food safety and quality audits.
· Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, GMP requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.
· Escalate significant quality or food safety concerns to appropriate management personnel.
Production Support & Training
· Work closely with production teams to identify, investigate, and resolve quality issues.
· Provide feedback to production personnel when quality concerns are identified.
· Support retraining of production employees on applicable quality, food safety, and GMP requirements.
· Communicate quality requirements, inspection results, and findings effectively to production and management teams.
· Assist with implementing corrective actions and process improvements.
· Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to quality, food safety, sanitation, and manufacturing processes.
Required Skills & Experience
· Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience in one or more of the following areas:
Food manufacturing
Quality Control
Quality Assurance
Restaurant operations
Sanitation
Food production
· Experience with GMP practices and food safety procedures.
· Experience conducting quality inspections and maintaining quality documentation.
· Understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control procedures.
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
· Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
· Ability to identify problems and support effective solutions.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
· Ability to follow established safety, quality, food handling, and sanitation procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience in a food manufacturing or food production environment.
· Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and food safety standards.
· Experience supporting internal or external food safety audits.
· Experience with manufacturing quality management systems.
· Experience with inspection, sampling, testing, and quality documentation processes.
· Knowledge of corrective and preventive action processes.
· Experience with equipment calibration and quality testing procedures.
Work Environment
This is an on-site, hands-on position in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. The role requires regular interaction with production operations, quality processes, food safety procedures, inspection activities, and manufacturing personnel.
The position may require extended periods of standing, walking, inspecting production activities, collecting samples, and monitoring manufacturing processes.
The successful candidate must be able to work either the 1st or 2nd shift and must consistently follow all applicable workplace safety, food safety, sanitation, food handling, and quality procedures.
